There Has been a proposal to combine the Northern four districts (Brandywine, Christina, Colonial, and Red Clay) into one district which will be known as Northern New Castle School District. There is currently no official date for when the districts will be combined. The consolidation cannot move forward until both the State Board and the General Assembly formally approve it.
